Well for me, my kids just went back to school, and like many working parents out there that is a complete shift in your schedule… I am finding myself getting back on track to the schedule that I keep when they are preoccupied nearly 7 hours a day. It is a time to get productive during those hours and really get your work done.

Some tips to make that happen:

The evening before write down your “to do list”, I tell my team that even though you are working a home based business, it is a business and you must treat it that way!

Start everyday at the same time, make yourself punch that time clock…

Work off your “to do list” which should have at least 5 specific tasks that you will accomplish during your work time.

When I say specific, I really mean specific. Don’t write down “phone calls as a task”, Get out your list, ( remember rule #1 always be adding to or recreating your list) Make that task say, I will connect via phone or personally with ___________ and make it happen in a positive way.. ( no stalking allowed ) Keep in mind that all though I am a huge fan of Facebook, don’t use Facebook as a form to complete this task… You can however use Facebook as a tool to get you to where this task can be completed… Example.. ” Hi Joe, I am super excited to get caught up on how our lives are going, let me buy you a Iced Tea at Starbucks and let’s catch up” but don’t consider the task complete until you have had verbal communication with Joe!

Follow-up with the leaders on your team and see how they are doing, Offer your assistance, remind them that you are available for three way phone calls and get them to plug into you!! Staying connected with your team especially the leaders is so important.

Make yourself available every week at a specific time that your entire team know they can get in front of you. Now as you grow just as I have, my out of town teams know, I am available over the phone always and their numbers are stored and there calls take priority over anything!!

For my in town team members we have a standing Party every Tuesday Night at 6:30!! We have so much fun, We introduce new people, Answer questions but most of all it just keeps us plugged in to each other and we love it! We are also looking at systems that we can get a live webinar streaming into the room to share the fun with our out of town teams… (coming soon)

Have as one of your tasks, Pas out 5 samples… Most home based business are direct sales and that means you probably have a product or service that you can be sampling out… This is a must!! If you are not getting your product out there!! You won’t sell it!

Update your data base, refresh email campaigns that are running through your back office and make sure there is no contact requests that you have missed that have come through your back office… Seems menial but it is so important!! Most companies provide a back office for a nominal fee, my companies is $29.00 a month and that consists of a personal secretary, 7 websites to promote my business and a success library! love it and it is a must, so utilize what your company provides.

Most of all have fun…. I made the choice to enter this work place and it was the best choice I ever made, not just for me but for my family… you to with a little training can be self sufficient working at home…

As a Real Estate Broker I use these principles when building that business so for me it was easy to transfer these same principles into my Network Marketing Career… If you came a crossed this blog because you were doing a internet search on working from home call me… Just 6 short months ago I was a person that was a part of the 96 percent that say, I won’t do Network Marketing… I have built to a prosperous team and a nice 6 figure yearly income in just 6 short months… Simple working principles is all I have done… If I can do this, I know you can too!! A week of reflection…

My Brothers Friends daughter and her best friend… I sit here and try to think of the right words and really there are none… Silence is golden here… ♥



May 22 I was another year older… No big deal as the day would begin, just another day, another year… The events of that day will forever be remembered for many as the Nation’s deadliest Tornado touches down in Joplin Mo. I went to bed that day just like any other day… I woke up at 2:45 am to find that my husband was not in bed.. A light glowed outside our bedroom door which is our loft office so I called out quietly asking him ” What are you doing” He replied, I remembered I needed to authorize a bill pay payment that he had forgot to do earlier in the day, But then he walked in the bedroom and said, A tornado has hit your brothers town of Joplin… I sat up in bed and said, What? He said it is all over the internet… Normally I am on the computer every day but that day being my birthday we were out and about and I concentrated on time with my kids and stayed off the computer and the TV was not on… so I was unaware of the happenings that day in Joplin… I immediately texted him and called him. Left messages then got up and got online. I was horrified by the devastation… A sense of helplessness was overwhelming me, but to be honest it was also a sense of guilt and fear. Fear that I could lose another immediate family member that I have never met…

You see the internet had led me to a father that I was torn away from as a very small baby.. One that I never met face to face. We talked online, spoke over the phone and always talked of the day that we would actually get together. Then without warning he died of a sudden heart attack… Time lost, and never to return. That day is still as vivid as if it was yesterday and it was actually February 5, 2006, more than 5 years ago… I have 3 half brothers, a step brother and a step sister that I have never met. All but one live in the Joplin area. I sat at the computer that night asking myself “why have I not made it back there…?” I could go on and on about work, finances, money, obligations… but really all just excuses that shouldn’t even exist…

I sit here and look at the devastation that the people of Joplin are dealing with and the loss of life that is so tragic, High school seniors whom lost their lives just leaving graduation… so much tragedy… so much pain… but feeling so blessed that my family and their friends were all spared… a miracle in itself, spared the loss but they are not spared the pain as I am sure it is so painful to be there day in and day out as people are trying to pick up the pieces and move on. I sit here and wish there was some way I could pack up the RV pay all my bills for three months and drive back there and help. My husband is a contractor and I know I could find something to do to help… but again life must go on here and there just is not enough money in the bank to just stop everything and to leave.

God has given me a second chance to take the time to meet my family face to face.. I will make it a priority to make it happen this year.. I am praying to the lord each and every day thanking him for keeping them safe. The outcome could have been so different.

My First 90 Days...

Little Decisions can be Life Changing...

As a busy person, I am really realizing that it is easy to go through life in repeated motions whether they are positive or negative... It is a defining moment when you realize that the smallest action that you take during a particular day can put your motions on a completely different path... This is what has recently happened to me.. In a attempt to lose some weight I was introduced to some amazing people, a amazing company and product that I know has definitely given me a new lease on life. I know that this product has not just put me on a path of better health, but has put my family on that same path. I am so passionate about this product I just want to run up to everyone I see and say you have to try this!! But that might get me arrested so one by one, Challenge party to Challenge party, New Reps that are equally excited about this product, I know we have found something that can seriously change people's lives forever. Now 6 weeks ago if a fortune teller would have told me that in 6 weeks you will be 32 lbs lighter, your husband will be nearly 25 lbs lighter and your kids with have a healthy breakfast every morning, you will be shopping for a Black BMW paid for by the Company that produces the product that is helping you get healthier and you will be on a path that will give you financial freedom (in time) and you will come out of that depression that a depressing Real Estate Market has put you in, I would have simply replied, Your Nuts!! That is not possible.. All because I took one simple step and that step was to Try A Shake...One simple shake has created all this change..

I guess my whole point here is I sit and realize these are the little decisions that as we are making them can end up being that moment in time that truly changes your life!

Just in Case People are Wondering...

I have been blessed to have the REO inventory to support my family during these difficult times in the Nation's Economy. But I was dyeing inside as I hated doing what I was doing.. 33 days into the Challenge and I have lost 28.2 lbs and Life is Great!!

When you get involved in something new, sometimes the incentives they offer just seem way to good to be true… Well I was told that you can earn $600.00 a month to go towards a Black BMW.. my first thought was… OK we will see… Well not only have I saw both the girls who brought me the Challenge earn their BMW’s but I just also earned mine… in just 27 days!! I know this sounds to crazy to be true, but it is TRUE.. Absolutely True and Even though I love my Lex. I am car shopping for a Great Deal on a Black BMW that Visalus will pay for.
